Geographic location of the vineyard
The vineyard is located in the co-called Arda Valley (the municipalities of Vernasca, Alseno, Lugagnano, Castell'Arquato, Gropparello and Carpaneto), within the hilltop locality of S.Marco di Bacedasco Basso, in the province of Piacenza.

Grape varieties used for production
Malvasia di Candia and Moscato bianco 20-50%, Trebbiano romagnolo and Ortrugo 20-50%, Sauvignon, Bervedino and other approved white grape varieties up to a maximum of 30%.

At the winery: several months, usually in tanks, based on the manufacturer. After purchase: the wine is sold ready to drink (though may resist a number of years).

Organoleptic test
Colour: a brilliant colour ranging from straw yellow to golden yellow, based on origin and vintage.
Bouquet: vinous but exceptionally delicate; quite subjective.
Flavour: dry without excess, light and fresh; slightly sour and bitter notes accompanied by a delicious fruity fragrance; subtle body and structure; its cheerfully sparkling character teases the palate.
Alcohol content: 11-11.5 % vol.
Total acidity: 6-7 %o.
Recommended vintages: always the latest to have been bottled.

Qualification: smooth white wine.
Best enjoyed with: Italian antipasti; perfect for cold cuts, particularly culatello, and excellent with first courses, above all seafood.
Serving temperature: 10°C.
Serving method: uncork the bottle immediately prior to serving.

Production and bottling
Produced and bottled directly at the origin by the Tenuta La Ratta Winery (Azienda Agricola La Ratta di G.E. S.Marco di Bacedasco Basso ITALY).
